About Me
Hi there, I'm Amanda! In 2025, I graduated from UT-Arlington Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Pop Culture and a Digital Media Certificate. While I was a student, I worked as the associate news editor for UT-Arlington's newspaper, The Shorthorn, where I received multiple awards and achievements, including multiple scholarships and the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association Division 1 Feature Story Award. My passion for news writing and pop culture lead me to write a variety of articles including, life, opinion, breaking news and specialized beat reporting. In my role, I managed a team of reporters where I assigned articles, edited them using AP Style and guided my reporters throughout a variety of event coverages.
After graduation, I began work as a copywriter, where I learned how to write business to business content. In this role, I assisted in writing for websites, emails, flyers, post cards and more. This position taught me how to structure my writing for a variety of audiences, like brokers, consultants, TPAs and more.
In my free time, I am a freelance writer for Euphonic Magazine, where I write music reviews. This can span from albums to live band coverage so I can do what I love most — pop culture and life reporting.
